Lumecca is the most powerful intense pulsed light (IPL) to treat pigmented and vascular lesions, leaving the skin clear and radiant.
Lumecca uses photothermolysis, a method of applying intense pulsed lights to target pigmented skin and vascular lesions. The treatment improves the complexion and clarity of your skin, while also improving the appearance of sun damage and redness on the skin.
Lumecca is ideal for:
- Age spots (red/brown pigmentation)
- Vascular lesions (spider veins)
- Redness or rosacea
- Improves skin quality, resulting in a radiant complexion
How it works
Lumecca uses light that is converted into heat energy, suppressing pigmentation and eliminating spider veins, whilst at the same time stimulating collagen and elastin, resulting in a clearer and more radiant complexion.
The light pulse targets the pigmentation, which is then either absorbed by the skin or flakes off in the following days after treatment. The IPL also activates the skin to produce collagen, filling the surrounding excess pores.

During your Lumecca treatment there will be a bright flash of light and a slight prickly sensation. Redness and a slight warming of the skin are normal and usually subside within an hour.
Due to the light intensity of the treatment, it is recommended that direct sunlight and tanning are avoided.
A course of three treatments is recommended, but patients notice improvements after just one session of Lumecca.
Which areas can be treated?
Lumecca can be used on all areas of the body. The most common areas of treatment are the face, neck, décolletage, legs, hands and arms.
Results
Results can be seen a few days after the first session and will continue to improve in the coming weeks. Results of vascular treatments can be seen within two weeks.
