Depending on the type of lesion, there is a very quick and effective treatment available to remove them, called Cryotherapy.
There are a huge range of skin lesions and blemishes that can affect our skin, most of which are harmless, but can be unsightly.
What is Cryotherapy?
A highly accurate stream of Cryogen is projected onto the skin lesion, to freeze and destroy the affected cells, whilst leaving healthy tissue intact. The treatment is extremely quick, with minimal discomfort. Most lesions require only one session.
Which skin lesions can be treated?
Skin tags, cysts, warts, and other unsightly lesions can all be treated with Cryotherapy.
Skin tags are small, loose, flesh-coloured or brown growths that hang off the skin. They are extremely common, but completely harmless and can be quickly and easily treated in one session.
A cyst is a sac-like structure and is typically filled with fluid. They can appear anywhere on the face or body and feel like small peas under the surface of the skin. Treatment will depend on the type of cyst and whether any infection is present.
Warts are small, hard, benign growths on the skin, caused by the human papilloma virus (HPV). Depending on the size and number of warts, one or more treatments might be needed.
