A Hyperhidrosis treatment is a quick and simple treatment that targets excessive sweating which can reduce skin irritation and inflammation as well as embarrassment.
There is a quick and simple treatment available using a well known product. Often used to treat lines and wrinkles on the face, it will effectively prevent sweat glands in the underarm area from producing excess levels of sweat for up to eight months.
What is Hyperhidrosis?
Hyperhidrosis is the medical term for excessive sweating which is a condition that affects around 1-2% of the population. Constant excess sweating makes it difficult to carry out many normal everyday activities and, whilst not posing a serious threat to health, Hyperhidrosis can cause embarrassment and skin irritation and inflammation.
What to expect from Hyperhidrosis
The procedure takes about 30 minutes and may cause some brief discomfort but is usually easily tolerated. An extremely fine, short needle is used to inject the product into the underarm area and you should get effective results from your treatment after 3-5 days. The product is a purified protein derivative of Botulinum Toxin Type A and prevents Hyperhidrosis by blocking the chemical messages to the sweat glands to reduce the amount of sweat produced.
Who will administer the treatment?
At Aspire Clinic in Berkshire, Hyperhidrosis treatments are carried out by experienced medical professionals who are dedicated to safe practice and are specialists in this field.
