What is Lumecca?
Whether it’s sun-spots or thread veins on the face, hands or body, Lumecca is the ideal treatment to achieve an even, clear and radiant complexion.
Lumecca uses light that is converted into heat energy, suppressing pigmentation and eliminating spider veins, whilst at the same time stimulating collagen and elastin.
The light pulse targets the pigmentation, which is then either absorbed by the skin or flakes off in the following days after treatment. The IPL also activates the skin to produce collagen, filling the surrounding excess pores.

1. Your Consultation
You will meet with your qualified Lumecca expert to plan a treatment pathway, including an outline of the number of treatment sessions required and duration between treatments. As a general guide, we recommend a course of three treatments 3-6 weeks apart.

2. Treatment Plan
Photos will be taken prior to treatment so that we can compare these with your results. During your Lumecca treatment there will be a bright flash of light and a slight prickly sensation. Redness and a slight warming of the skin are normal and usually subside within an hour. Your practitioner will then go through your post-treatment after-care.

3. Aftercare
Following Lumecca treatment, patients should stay out of direct sunlight for at least a week. Do not use active skincare products for a week and avoid facial treatments such as facials, waxing and massage for two weeks post-treatment. Use SPF daily.

The number of treatments needed depends on the skin condition and desired outcome, but usually 3–6 treatments are recommended.
Patients may see a reduction in pigmentation within a few days of the first session.
The results are long-term, but maintenance sessions are recommended every 6–12 months.
Most patients don’t experience any side effects, but some may experience redness, swelling, and bruising. These side effects are usually temporary and resolve within a few hours.
Patients should avoid direct sun exposure, tanning beds, and self-tanning products for at least four weeks before treatment. Patients should also avoid using retinol or exfoliant products one week before the session.
